Centipede

 

           Due to her rather slim and long body, Centila can manage to dig underground for the longest of time thanks to her ability to easily dig around and make her own tunnels. Using these tunnels, Centila can make a route that leads straight to a perfect food source and then a straight path right back down o her den in the depths of the desert with relative ease. Many adventurers find these caves made by her and decide to go inside in hopes to find shelter from the blazing heat, only to find themselves in the grasps of the giant centipede. Though she doesn't eat large animals occasionally, Centila will sometimes drag one unsuspecting victim that delved into her caverns in order to gut them alive to eat their fresh insides. Unlike most desert critters, Centila needs to soothen her body in order to protect herself from too much heat exposure and so creates a slimy based substance to coat her body with so that she doesn't burn up in the heat of the sun.
