Squid girl
Hatched in the crystal springs, Squineja was born and raised there by her current master who was only thirteen when he first found her that looks over her til this day. At a young age, Squineja was a rather quiet and timid girl, occasionally hiding from even her own food of small and even cut up fish that her master would try to feed her with. Over time and after constant swallowing of raw fish, her master would eventually convince her that there is nothing to fear when it comes to eating fish, especially those smaller than her. It was not until she was fifteen years own when she truly started to hunt for herself when her master fell into a terrible illness. Unable to go into the water with her, Squineja would watch her master cough his lungs out everyday he went out to visit her and so she couldn't be hand fed as usual. Struggling to even catch a single prey, her monster would laugh in pain at her misfortune and so decided to teach her how to hunt for her own food the best he could. He taught her to wait patiently at the depths and wait for prey to swim by before latching her tentacles out in order to catch her meal. A couple attempts later, she eventually learned how to hunt and even brought back a few fishes for her master but he refused as his illness would not let him eat. After that day, she never saw her master again, eagerly waiting day after day for his return but alas his presence was no longer there. Falling into a sadden depression, Squineja refused to give up hope of her master as she returned to the surface everyday for his retun and only going back down to eat. It was not until many years later when Squineja was twenty four when her master re-appeared all grown up. Even though he had changed, she could never forget the same bright smile he brought with himself everytime he would visit her and with that she would smother him for hours upon hours. She now lives peacefully in her springs with her master only returning once a month now but she is still grateful to have him around.
